Let me begin by welcoming you to the "Beginner Bowhunter", a web site created to provide helpful tips, techniques
and stratagies for successfully harvesting game with bow and arrow. Whether you're just getting started, or you've been around
the block once or twice, I hope you'll find the site to be entertaining, as well as educational. The information contained
within this web site was obtained from not only my personal experiences afield, but from other "well- seasoned"
bowhunters, family and friends. Some time ago, a good friend of mine came to me and asked me if I could take him
deer hunting. He told me: "Jason, I'd really love to arrow a deer!" "Every year, you and your dad get your
deer, and I don't know of anyone else that has that kind of success, that I can turn to." "Will you take me?"
After what I would consider a brief "crash-course" in archery, we took Aaron out hunting and he arrowed a nice young
buck. He told me, "Jason, some day you should write a book explaining some of the things you taught me." "I'm
sure there are alot of people out there that could use this information to help them experience success in their hunting."
It was this very friend that inspired me to create this web site, to pass along some useful information on how to consistantly
harvest game with bow and arrow.

This 24 1/2" Mule deer buck was taken in Eastern Oregon, using the "spot and stalk" method. The buck was shot
at a distance of 20 yards!
